We used to be strictly against any affiliation deals on Travel-Lists, fearing that it would compromise our independence to take a commission/referral fee when visitors click on our listed links.
Now we take a more pragmatic view.
The rule is:
If we find that a company we already list has a suitable affiliation scheme, we will use it. We absolutely will NOT list a company because it has an affiliation scheme.
CURRENT AFFILIATIONS
Just to be clear....
Advertisements
Most or all of these companies (above) appear in display advertisements on Travel-Lists. If you click on the ad and take some action - IE. book a holiday or order a brochure - we may receive a commission (each affiliation deal is different).
Listings
Likewise, sometimes, if they appear in our actual lists (and we've remembered to connect up the affiliation code link!) when you click on them we may receive a commission if you go on to order something.
We're completely transparent about it. We mark those affiliate-linked listings with a (£) or
sign, just so you know...even though it makes no practical or financial difference.
