I don't really like the name 'Boating' but it seems to be the best collective term for 'self-drive' holidays on the water.

If you want steer your boat through the Scottish lochs, along the French canals, or around the West Indies, the lists of companies who do that, are here.

If, on the other hand, you want someone to bring you a drink while your hotel barge or cruise ship docks, then you're looking for the cruise lists.

Having said that, while the Boating category covers self-drive flotilla sailing holidays in the Mediterranean, motor boats in the Morbihan (Brittany) and narrowboats on the Grand Union canal, I'm also including some lists with 'skippered' as well as 'bareboat' charter companies. So technically 'Boating' covers self-drive & private charter.

Listings

There are three general lists...

UK Canal Holidays - motor launch and narrowboat operators on the UK waterways.
Overseas Canal Holidays - UK-based tour operators and specialist travel agencies featuring self-drive canal & river boat holidays on overseas waterways.
Sailing Holidays - UK-based operators and charter companies offering sailing holidays and chartered yachts.
