LIST: SAFARI CAMPS & LODGES IN KENYA

Here are listed individual safari camps & lodges, or collections of camps under one camp owner/operator, in Kenya. We link to the camp's own website where possible, or the camp operator's website. If the camp or its operator doesn't have a website, we link to the tour operator, agent or marketing company with the best details for that camp, which we mark with an asterisk * because there may be other tour operators or agents for that camp who are more suitable to you.

Walking safaris are guided by Maasai and there's plenty of opportunities to meet local villagers and learn about the culture.
Cotters Cotters claim to be the longest safari camp in the business having started back in 1919. Their 1920's Camp is a tented camp in classical 1920's colonial style. They also have a permanent lodge (Bushtops). Both are located in the Maasai Mara game reserve.

Safaris are on foot, there being no roads in the area. Kitich has four tents with en-suite bathrooms attached. Purists love it because it is one of the oldest and remotest camps in Kenya and it is a traditional luxury camp without all the mod cons (so kerosene lamps, no roads, and long-drop toilets).
