| Mbuzi Mawe | Newly built (May 05) tented camp in Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park. The camp lies at the heart of the Serengeti on one of the main annual migration corridors for over one million wildebeest, half a million zebras and gazelles, and their accompanying cast of predators. Mbuzi Mawe (meaning Klipspringer in Kiswahili) is located in a glade guarded by 3 million year old granite towers. Accommodation comprises 16 spacious tents, each with 24-hour generator electricity, constant hot water, ensuite bathroom, dressing area, two double four-poster beds and a verandah with a double sun bed. The camp offers al fresco breakfasts, safari luncheons, lantern-lit bush suppers, campfire roasts, and dance displays by the Ikoma people as well as game drives, ranger-led bush walks, ornithology and sightings of: elephant, lion, cheetah, leopard, buffalo, hyena, wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, warthog, hippo and crocodile. | ||||

| Oliver's Camp | There are actually two 'Oliver's camps' - one for the dry season and one for the green season. Oliver's Camp Tarangire (dry season, June-Nov ) is a tented bush camp in the Tarangire National Park in northern central Tanzania where the river & swamplands draw migrating herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo and elephant in search of water. Oliver's Camp Sanjan (green season, Dec-May) is located on the grasslands under the Oldonyo Lengai mountain near the northern border of Tanzania, perfect for viewing herds of grazing animals. These are the 'base camp' locations but the company also operates mobile safaris which use four wheel drive trucks to move smaller tents and supplies to remote camp sites, sometimes over 100 kilometres from the main camp. | ||||
