| Clubhouse, The |
Due to launch on 12 December, Jonathan Downey, the owner of Soho private members' clubs Milk & Honey and The Player, says The Clubhouse will be the Alps' first world-class mountain boutique hotel and members' bar. The rooms have amazing views of the mighty Mont Blanc Massif, everything you'd expect from a 21st century boutique design hotel and much more: from crisp Frette linen to teak-decked 'rainforest' showers; from mini-bars stocked with Myla sex toys to toys for the boys - DVDs, plasma screens, quad bikes and BMW X5 private transfers. The €1m refurbishment of an Art Deco mansion built in 1927 has created seven great rooms with accommodation for up to 24 guests, a clubhouse lounge, bar and restaurant and a treatment suite for weary legs and wind-blown skin. |
