A number of hotels around the world are catering for single women travellers by becoming exclusive to women or offering women-only floors or annexes. Here are some that we know about... and some that are women-only for different reasons.

Dukes have (Feb 2010) launched 'Duchess Rooms' a "discreet service tailored to female business and leisure guests". Women travelling alone can expect a female room attendant to escort them to their rooms and handle all room service and housekeeping requirements; feminine styling accessories, slippers, etc; and a quiet corner table if dining alone. |

The Fleming introduced a women-only floor, branded: 'Her Space' in 2007. The rooms have fresh flowers, aroma oils, super-soft and furry cushions, silk draperies, extra pillows, a jewellery box, leg massage machine, facial steamer and yoga mat. |

The Emirates Tower has a dedicated floor (10 rooms & 1 suite) for women travellers, with special features including bath products and cosmetics by Chopard with a fridge for keeping them in. The floor (40th) is serviced only by female staff including those from departments such as engineering, security and room service. |

The 4-star hotel launched a dedicated floor for female travellers back in July 08, although it has shrunk a little since then. Originally there were 47 bedrooms all located on the 3rd floor of the hotel. Now, a year later, there are 18 women-only rooms. |

- The Wyndham Worldwide hotel chain doesn't have dedicated rooms or floors, but they do have a programme designed to improve the experience at their hotels for women business & leisure travellers, and with it a community website, Women on their Way.
