They launched their first collection of 13 properties in Morocco in Sept 04, ranging from a 4 bedroom villa with contemporary white-washed interiors in the heart of Essaouira’s fortified medina to the five bedroom Palace El Ghalia in Fez.

• If you are looking to indulge yourself in some exotic culture but still feel good about yourself at the end of the week Fitscape operate fitness holidays in luxury retreats, one of which is in the Atlas mountains. The same retreat is used by their sister company Destination Yoga for yoga breaks.
• Kasbah Tamadot is one of Richard Branson's privately-owned properties (like Neckar Island) and a part of the Virgin Limited Edition. It has 18 suites/rooms, a spa, a swimming pool and tennis court. It is located up in the Atlas mountains about 40 mins from Marrakesh and is due to open in the summer of 2004.
• Club Med are opening a brand new 'Village' in Marrakesh for the 04/05 season. It actually comprises two separate sites: La Medina is in the centre of the city (aimed at those interested in culture & history) while La Palmeraie is located in the famous palm grove on the outskirts and has sports & activity facilities such as golf, tennis, archery etc. Later in the year a third property, Le Riad, with 60 luxury hotel-style suites, will open close to La Palmeraie.
