LIST: SPECIAL PLACES TO STAY IN CANADA

These are individual hotels, resorts, boutique hotels, inns, B&Bs and other 'accommodations' in Canada that we have come across and think are worth checking out.

Clearly this list is very far from comprehensive, but it's a start. As it expands we'll sub-divide it down into smaller categories based on accommodation types and locations.

Skoki Lodge Lake Louise Most Brits think that the only accommodation at Lake Louise is the Chateau Lake Louise hotel in its spectacular position at the edge of the lake. Skoki Lodge is a rustic alternative - a heritage ski lodge at the other end of the lake, recently voted one of the top ten backcountry lodges in North America by National Geographic Adventure magazine.
British Columbia
Soule Creek Lodge Vancouver Island, British Columbia Cabin, yurts (!), and private lodge rooms all overlooking the Pacific Ocean, San Juan Inlet, the West Coast Trail and Washington State's Olympic Peninsula, and with a reputation for fine cuisine.
