These are individual hotels, boutique hotels,and other 'accommodations' in London that we have come across and think are worth checking out.

For the most part they are hotels in the mid to luxury end of the market representing the new generation of stylish boutique hotels in the city.

Clearly this list is far from comprehensive. As it expands it may be sub-divided down into smaller categories.

Berners Hotel, The	020 7666 2001	Popular 4-star hotel in London's West End. The Berners will be closed for much of 2006 while it undergoes a major refurbishment.
Browns Hotel	020 7493 6020	Stylish contemporary hotel in Mayfair comprising of 11 Georgian town houses with a total of 117 bedrooms (including 15 suites). Part of the Rocco Forte group.
Carlton Tower Hotel, The	020 7235 1234	Luxury business hotel on Cadogan Place.
Charlotte Street Hotel	020 7806 2000	Small elegant boutique hotel just north of Soho, with its own gym and film screening room. A *Firmdale hotel (See Notes)
Chesterfield Hotel, The	0845 634 2665	Quiet, sophisticated 4-star in Mayfair
Church Street Hotel		'Eclectic' is a word invented for this hotel, hidden away in Camberwell, South London. Some say it is like sleeping in a Mexican/Cuban casita.

Cumberland, The	0870 333 9280	Large (1,000 rooms) contemporary design hotel at the top of Park Lane.
Dean Street Townhouse	020 7434 1775	Comfortable 39-room 'home-from-home' in the heart of Soho. The small rooms are tiny but the large rooms have space for a classic standalone bathtub in the bedroom.
Dorchester, The	020 7629 8888	One of London's most internationally famous hotels, tucked away just off Park Lane.

Franklin Hotel	020 7584 5533	Elegant Knightsbridge hotel in a terrace of four Victorian townhouses. The Franklin opened as an hotel in September 1992.

Goring, The	020 7396 9000	London’s oldest 5-Star family run hotel, located next door to Buckingham Palace and Belgravia.

Hazlitts	020 7434 1771	Hotel for literary enthusiasts housed in three historic 18th century houses with sumptuous rooms named after writers and artists. One of them (new, summer 2010) has a private roof garden complete with a sliding glass roof!

Langham Hotel	020 7973 7504	Classic 5-star grand hotel on Regent Street opposite the BBC.
Leonard, The	020 7935 2010	Small elegant hotel near Marble Arch/Oxford St with rooms, suites and serviced apartments.
Levin, The	020 7589 6286	Twelve-room luxury boutique hotel next door to Harrods.
Lowndes Hotel, The	0207 235 1234	The Jumeirah Lowndes is an 87-room contemporary design luxury hotel in Belgravia. It is closed for refurbishment till the autumn of 2006.
Metropolitan, The	020 7447 1047	Contemporary design hotel on Park Lane.
Number Sixteen	020 7589 5232	Luxury boutique hotel in mid-Victorian terrace in the heart of South Kensington. A *Firmdale hotel (See Notes).
Montague on the Gardens, The	020 7958 7731	Townhouse hotel near the British Museum. Special rooms for women travellers.
One Aldwych	020 7300 1077	Well-known luxury design hotel and regular award winner.
Pavilion, The	020 7262 0905	"Groovy" (eccentric) 30-room hotel near Hyde Park. Read their guest list. It's full of cool celebs from the fashion, music, tv and film industries.
Portobello Hotel	020 7727 2777	Glamorous hotel and apartments in Notting Hill Gate with an impressive list of celebrity guests.
Queensgate, The	020 7761 4000	Modern boutique hotel in Knightsbride close to the museums.
Ritz London, The	020 7493 8181	Landmark London hotel celebrating its centenary this year (2006).
Renaissance Chancery Court Hotel	020 7829 9888	Modern luxury business hotel (part of Marriott) in a grand historic building.
Rookery, The	020 7336 0931	Sophisticated and slightly eccentric small hotel (33 rooms) near the Bank of England, that describes itself as being "more private club than hotel".
Royal Garden Hotel	020 7937 8000	5-star hotel overlooking Kensington Gardens.
San Domenico House	020 7581 5757	Ornate luxury boutique hotel with 15 richly decorated rooms in Chelsea.
Savoy, The	0800 7671 7671	One of London's best-known luxury hotels. Has been undergoing a huge rennovation recently (2009).
Soho Hotel, The	020 7559 3000	A popular 91-room boutique hotel on Leicester Square with beautiful rooms, but at a price. A *Firmdale hotel (See Notes).
St. Martins Lane	020 7300 5500	Very stylish luxury design hotel with lots of quirky touches. The 204 rooms are light (floor to ceiling windows) and white, which enables guests to apply whatever mood they like to the room with controllable colour-wash lighting. The confusingly named St Martins' Lane is on St Martins Lane. It was an Ian Schrager brand hotel when it opened in 1999, and he is still the major shareholder.
Sydney House Chelsea	020 7376 7711	Fashionable boutique hotel in Chelsea.
Ten Manchester Street Hotel	020 73175 900	Luxury boutique hotel midway between Oxford Street and Regents Park. It has two unusual aspects: an all-weather humidor & terrace for cigar smokers, and four of its ground floor suites have their own private terrace.
Trafalgar Hilton, The	020 7870 2900	Hard to be more centrally located than this; contemporary design hotel right next to Nelson's column and with an excellent roof garden from which it can all be surveyed.
Twenty Nevern Square, London	020 7565 9555	Stylish Victorian townhouse hotel in the West End.
Westbury, The	020 7629 7755	Contemporary 4-star on Bond Street. Perfect for up-market shopping breaks!
Zetter, The	020 7324 4444	Contemporary design hotel in Clerkenwell. In fact they market it as a 'restaurant with rooms', 59 of them.
