Savings on early spring walking holidays

Written by Alastair on 26 January 2012.

Walking holiday specialist, HF Holidays are offering savings of £50 on a choice of European guided walking holidays.

For example...

Departing 29 March, a seven-night holiday in the western Algarve (Portugal) exploring its "picturesque coastline and charming fishing villages as well as the dramatic beauty of the wild Atlantic Coast and its multi-coloured cliffs". Additional highlights include walks amid olive and lemon groves, the hills of the Serra de Monchique and the Cabo de São Vicente Natural Park. The price is reduced to £649 (saving £50) per person, twin-share, inclusive of return Gatwick flights, transfers, half board accommodation at the 4-star Hotel Belavista da Luz – situated five minutes’ walk from the beach in Praia da Luz – the full programme of guided walks and the services of leaders.

Equally as picturesque is the coastline and countryside of the French Riviera which can be explored on a seven-night guided walking holiday based in Menton. There are walks amid the Bevera Valley, along coastal trails and the GR51 – the balcony path above the coast – with highlights including medieval ‘perched villages’, Saracen castles and spectacular views across to the snow covered Alps. For departures on 24 March, the revised cost is £709 (saving £50) per person, twin-share, inclusive of return Heathrow flights, transfers, seven nights’ half-board accommodation at the 3-star Hotel Royal Westminster – located right on Menton’s seaside promenade – the full programme of guided walks and the services of leaders.
